What is NAT?

Network Address Translation (NAT) is the procedure for replacing IP addresses and ports in the header of IP packets. Most often, NAT is used to change an IP address and port on an internal network to an external IP address and port of a gateway.

The mechanism hides private network addresses from external users and provides confidentiality and additional security for data within the network.

What is Firewall?

A firewall allows you to manage access to servers and isolated networks, incoming and outgoing data packets directly from the control panel.

A Firewall acts like a wall that restricts Internet traffic inside or outside a private network. A firewall controls Internet activity and allows or denies access to devices.

How Nat and Firewall are charged in Serverspace?

Nat and Firewall are not charged separately and their cost is included in the gateway price. The gateway price depends on the data center location and bandwidth you choose. It starts from 1.3 € per month.

You can find the price for the required gateway configuration in Serverspace control panel.
