Serverspace 2025 - Year in Review

2025 was packed with loud trends: Labubu, orange phones, endless variations of “Dubai chocolate,” and of course, AI-made animals in short videos. In all that noise, it’s easy to lose sight of the changes that actually make a difference.
So what, in practice, made your work with Serverspace better this year? Let’s recap the results that matter.

Not just GPT: 15 new LLMs now available

The AI revolution kept accelerating in 2025 — and Serverspace kept pace. We actively evolved our Cloud AI service and improved the experience of working with large language models. The main focus was expanding the number of available LLMs, so you could choose the right option for each task and budget.

Over the year, the following were added to Cloud AI:

All models are available through a single API and can be used within the same project.

What does this enable now?

You can never have too many operating systems

What’s better than an up-to-date operating system version? Having several options at once. In 2025, we added six new OS templates to the platform for cloud servers:

This means you can choose the best OS for each task and launch your server with a current version right away — no manual installation required.

Improved CDN: maximum speed + protection

Another major update was the launch of the Web Application Firewall (WAF) — an integrated protection layer for web applications that complements the CDN. Now, content acceleration and malicious traffic filtering work together to cover the most common performance and security needs.

The WAF blocks common attacks against web applications at the edge, before they reach your servers. This reduces load on your infrastructure and helps protect websites and services without complex configuration or additional software.

Enabling WAF takes just a few minutes: open the CDN section in the control panel, enable WAF, and you’re done — traffic will be filtered automatically.

How we made 2025 more valuable for you

Last year, we got even closer: we shared knowledge, experienced memorable moments, and celebrated achievements.

We continued expanding our knowledge base. Among the most useful materials, we:

And there was plenty of interaction, too. On SysAdmin Day, users took a quiz to find out what kind of administrator they really are. More than 2,000 people discovered which “good-humored” sysadmin group they fit into. Spoiler: over 35% were “research admins,” able to find any information (and we had no doubts). If you haven’t taken it yet, don’t worry — the quiz is still available at this link.

And in 2026?

In 2026, we’re not slowing down — there’s a lot coming:
