Serverspace launched Edge Gateway

Due to the vStack platform update, Serverspace cloud provider users can connect isolated networks to the Internet using Edge Gateway and configure NAT and Firewall rules.

Serverspace, an international cloud infrastructure provider, has launched its Edge Gateway service for working with external and internal networks. Now users can configure NAT and Firewall via Edge Gateway and connect from isolated networks to external networks using a public IP address.

Edge Gateway support and the ability to create a routed network are commonplace in the cloud technology market. But we, as vStack ambassadors, are proud that this platform is catching up with competitors and provides our users with all the necessary tools to deploy large infrastructure projects.

NAT (Network Address Translation), or network address translation, is a mechanism that allows users to map one IP address to another. It provides Internet access for internal network devices using only one external WAN port IP address. The mechanism hides private network addresses from external users and provides confidentiality and additional security for data within the network.

A firewall is a system that monitors and filters incoming and outgoing network traffic. It is necessary to ensure the security of a computer network from Internet users and external threats. It acts like a wall that restricts Internet traffic inside or outside a private network. A firewall controls Internet activity and allows or denies access to devices.

Serverspace has developed a simple control panel interface so users can quickly set up the Edge Gateway. They can add rules directly in the control panel.
